The seashore of the coastal barangay of Mindoro in Vigan have been through the years continue to erode with the strong waves that battered the shorelines and as an effect of global warming. The City government built a seawall and implemented other preventive measures for the protection of the residents and their properties.

Let’s go Metro Vigan! – the latest battle cry being advocated by Vice Mayor Franz Ranches and the members of the Vigan City Council, in relation to Resolution No. 20, Series 2008, “A resolution inviting the Municipalities of Bantay, Santa, Sta. Catalina, San Vicente, San Ildefonso, Caoayan and Sto. Domingo to explore the possibility of creating the Metro Vigan Coordinating Council.
